Terms and Conditions

Hadrian’s Wall Glamping Limited, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 12301253 whose registered office is at Burthinghurst, Walton, Brampton CA8 2JW (herein after called “Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts” or “Us”) agrees to hire the Yurt to you subject to these terms and conditions.

Rental Period

The rental period commences on and ends on the dates stated in your booking confirmation (“the Rental Period”).

Payment of the Rental Cost when making a booking is evidence of the Hirer’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Arrival and Departure

Please advise us in advance of your expected arrival time. You will be notified the name of your Yurt before you arrive and the door is operated by a bolt. Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts reserve the right to change the yurt in to which you booked if necessary.

Check in is from 3.00pm.

Check out is by 10.00am (4pm on Sundays in 2023).

Booking Deposit

A deposit of 30% of the total cost of your trip is payable on booking (the “Deposit”).

The balance of the cost of your stay is due 30 days before the start date of your holiday (the “Balance”).

Damage Deposit

A damage deposit amount of £100 per Yurt is required to be payable in order to cover the cost of any professional cleaning charges, replacement or repairs required as a result of damage caused to the Yurt or its contents by guests (the “Damage Deposit”). The Damage Deposit is payable in addition to the cost of your yurt rental payment (the “Rental Cost”) and will be retained during your Rental Period.

The Damage Deposit (or balance thereof if any damage has been incurred) will be fully refunded at end of the Rental Period.

Rental Cost

The Rental Cost is calculated in accordance with the prevailing rates available on our booking site and is due in full 30 days before the start of your stay. Prices may be subject to change.

Payment can be made via our website. Please contact us if you prefer to make payment via bank transfer or alternative means and reasonable requests will be accommodated wherever possible.

The Rental Cost is inclusive of VAT and includes rental of the Yurt during the Rental Period, use of the grounds (where permitted), reasonable use of water and gas (for hot water and gas ring cooker), one bag of logs and firelighters and car parking.  An extra basket of logs is provided with the hot tub.

Occupancy, Nuisance and Rights of Refusal

Occupancy of the Yurt must not exceed 4 people (or a further child (under 12) with prior agreement) unless specifically agreed by us at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the campsite if the numbers in your group exceed this. The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.

Children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The adult(s) in the booking group are deemed to be responsible for all the guests (and pets) in the group including any additional visitors.

Additional visitors to the site are not allowed unless specifically agreed by us at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to charge an extra fee for additional visitors. Only guests included on the yurt booking may use the facilities, including the hot tubs, at the site.

Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated, and guests must be respectful to other guests on the campsite and the surrounding area. Guests who are deemed to be causing nuisance will be given one warning and then if the nuisance persists they will be liable for loss of Damage Deposit and/or ejected from the site. Those wishing to play music should discuss their specific requirements with us.

We also reserve the right to refuse entry to the campsite, cancel bookings, or instruct people to leave the campsite during the Rental Period, for any reason (for example due to inappropriate behaviour, complaints from other campsite occupants, dangerous weather or site conditions).


Each yurt can accommodate up to two dogs.  Dogs must be included on the yurt booking and the dog cleaning fee paid.  Dogs must be well behaved, over 6 months old and fully house trained.  Dogs must be under control at all times and not left unaccompanied in a yurt or on site.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 30 days before your stay but your Deposit will be retained.  You are advised to obtain insurance cover for your stay to cover cancellation in the event of insurable events.

If you book within 30 days of your stay full payment will be taken immediately and no refund will be available.  You are advised to obtain insurance cover for your stay to cover cancellation in the event of insurable events.

Please notify us immediately by telephone – 07990704920 if you wish to cancel your reservation for any reason after this initial period and then ensure the cancellation is notified to us in writing to staying@hadrianswallglamping.com.

If possible, Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts may use its discretion to agree to change your booking to another date, subject to availability and any additional costs that may apply at the new date.

Force Majeure

If Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts has to cancel your reservation for any reason beyond its control (including, but not limited to, trade disputes, fire, act of God or adverse weather, government guidance (statutory or otherwise)), every effort will be made to reschedule your booking to an alternative date and to provide information to your insurance company if requested. You are advised to obtain insurance cover for your stay to cover cancellation in the event of insurable events.

Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts liability to you shall be limited to a refund of any Damage Deposit paid.

Health and Safety and Disclaimer

We want you to have an enjoyable experience. On arrival you will see in your Yurt your welcome booklet, regarding the site and how to use the facilities, including any relevant safety guidelines. We ask you to read it and comply with any guidance given.

Guests enter Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts campsite at their own risk.  Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts will not accept responsibility for any acts of danger or misuse of apparatus and equipment provided, nor for loss of, damage to or theft of guests’ possessions from a Yurt or on the campsite during the Rental Period. Misuse of knives and axes is prohibited and responsible adults must be in control of fires at all times.

Should the Damage Deposit be insufficient to meet costs incurred by Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts you shall indemnify Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts in full for the excess amount plus any administrative charges required to pursue such payment.

Belongings –   LEGAL NOTICE

Loss of or damage to guests property under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, a proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts.  This liability however (a) extends only to the property of guests who are sleeping at Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts site, (b) is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in aggregate, and (c) does not cover motor cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them.  This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this site or liability thereunder attaches to Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts in any particular case.

Please note that guests leave items in the Yurts entirely at their own risk.  Essentially a Yurt is a tent and the security that comes with a tented structure.  We do not have safety deposit boxes and do not have the ability to take items for safekeeping during your stay.


The booking process asks for your address details and phone numbers. These are required by the law so at any time we can prove you are not residents at the campsite. It also allows us to contact you should the internet fail and if we need to contact you whilst you are travelling to the campsite. Please note that your financial details are NEVER stored and all of our financial transactions are handled by Stripe secure server. We will not pass on or sell your details to any third parties.

Customer Complaints

We hope you are entirely satisfied with your Yurt and that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. If there is anything we can do to assist prior to or during your Rental Period, please let us know as soon as possible. We welcome feedback on your stay and in the unlikely event of any complaints, we seek to address these as soon as possible.

Please note complaints received after the end of your Rental Period cannot be reliably investigated and are therefore most difficult to resolve. To that end, in the first instance of any complaint or any issues, please speak with a member of staff in person or telephone 07990704920 to bring them to our attention so we can help to resolve matters as quickly as possible and lessen any potential adverse impact on your stay.
