The yurts are a fantastic place to stay when walking the whole or part of the Hadrian’s Wall Path. They also make a great base for cyclists enjoying the local area.
If you are looking for somewhere comfortable and relaxing to stay during your walking or cycling journey Hadrian’s Wall Country Yurts could be perfect for you. Make the most of our two night minimum stay and either use the yurts as a base for a couple of days or take a short break from your adventure to relax and rejuvenate. Soak your aching muscles in your own private hot tub after a hard day hiking or in the saddle. Enjoy a break and a comfortable nights sleep in a cosy warm yurt.
If walking or cycling you may have no vehicular transport. Although there are no shops within walking distance of the yurts, all the major Supermarkets deliver to the site. We have eggs on site and sell a selection of local sausages, burgers and bacon as well as dough for the pizza oven. Please get in touch if you do not have your own transport as we are also able to help out with shopping and supplies. For cooking, each yurt has its own charcoal BBQ and gas hob. You can also hire a gas BBQ or pizza oven.
The yurts are around a mile and a half from the Hadrian’s Wall path and cycle route 72. If you are travelling from the east you can divert off the Wall path or route 72 at Banks and follow the small road approximately north for just over a mile before taking the lane on the left signposted Burtholme. The yurts are on the left. If you are travelling from the west, leave the Wall path where it crosses the road near Garthside. Turn left and follow the road for just over a mile. The yurts are on your right. Alternatively, if you are walking you can give us a call as we may be able to pick you up from Banks or near Garthside.
